Liberty I.T. – Pride Wall

We were approached by Liberty I.T. who wanted a large, eye-catching ‘Pride Wall’ design for their office interior space.  The brief was to show some of the ways that the company supported employees throughout the year and L.I.T.’s responsible role in the community – mentoring students and holding charity events.

The aims of the Pride Wall were to:
•   Brighten up the office space for staff
•   Show the Cultural Diversity at L.I.T.
•   L.I.T.’s responsible role in community
•   Team-bonding excursions at L.I.T.
•   Impress visiting panel of judges from ‘Ireland’s Great Place to Work Award’

The client was open-minded in terms of the style and format of the visuals.  After some brainstorming, we suggested illustrating a series of quirky comic-style posters showing various company events throughout the year – incorporating them into an overall schematic for the wall.  The most efficient way to tackle the brief was to draw them by hand – adding colour digitally.  There were 6 events which the company mentioned to be created in this story-telling comic style.

The other two panels either side would be a mixture of colourful, typographic designs showing the values, ethos and working methods of the company – as well as the main software technologies that employees use.

The hiring manager and staff were very impressed when the finished three pieces were installed on the main office wall; and the panel of judges for Ireland’s ‘Great Place to Work’ officially commended the Pride Wall when they visited the L.I.T. offices.
