Abbeyglen Castle Hotel

• Client: Abbeyglen Castle Hotel, premier establishment in Connemara, located in Clifden, Co. Galway along the Wild Atlantic Way.
• Project Goal: Design a new information brochure highlighting the hotel’s history, surrounding area, and the Top 12 visitor attractions in Connemara.
• Brochure Features:
  • Refreshed main brand logo for Abbeyglen Castle Hotel.
  • Descriptive content on the history of Abbeyglen Castle and its surroundings.
  • A list of the Top 12 Things to do in Connemara region with descriptions and imagery.
  • An illustrated Connemara Roadmap showing the locations of all attractions.
  • An illustrated Walking Guide Map for local walking routes.
  • An eye-catching illustrated front panel to reflect the Castle’s heritage.
• Design Requirements: The brochure’s style and visuals had to be consistent with the hotel’s branding, including colors, typography, and overall look-and-feel.
• Deliverables: Initial sketches and an illustrated front panel were developed as part of the design proposal.

Upon receiving approval for the initial brochure layout concept, we commenced the development of the brochure’s basic template. Subsequently, after finalising the dimensions and placements of the maps within the brochure, we initiated the design process for the Connemara Road Map, followed by the Abbeyglen Walking Guide on the brochure’s reverse side. This phase involved creating small digital illustrations to depict the main recognizable landmarks accurately.

In the final stages, we meticulously designed the text layout for the content on both sides of the brochure, ensuring that the fold lines did not compromise the readability of any essential information.
