80’s Movie Flashback

This illustration is a celebration of some of the most popular and era-defining 80’s movie characters featuring: Alien, Back to the Future, Die Hard, E.T., Flight of the Navigator, Ghostbusters, Gremlins, Indiana Jones, Robocop, The Neverending Story, Top Gun & Predator. These movies inspired many young imaginations growing up and this design is a ‘flashback’ of memories to that decade.

80’s Vigilante Force

This design is inspired by all of those American vigilante and detective TV shows of the 80’s, featuring cult-heroes B.A. Baracus and Hannibal of The A-Team, MacGyver, Nightrider, Airwolf, Street Hawk, Miami Vice, Magnum P.I., and the Dukes of Hazzard. What if all of these do-gooder’s banded together to form an irresistible Vigilante Force pitched against the criminal underground baddies?!

80’s Rock Icons

This illustration is inspired by some of the 80’s icons and musicians from the rock and roll genre – Axl Rose and Slash (Guns n’ Roses), Brian Johnson and Angus Young (ACDC), James Hetfield (Metallica), Lemmy Kilmister (Mötorhead), Steve Tyler (Aerosmith), Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), Eddie Van Halen and of course the indomitable Ozzie Osbourne of Black Sabbath!

Inspired by the 80’s Pop Music genre, this illustration features some of the most quintessentially 80’s performers and bands: see if you can recognise them all. It’s a celebration of the big hair, big voices and vibrant youth from 80’s vintage Pop!

The Last Action Heroes

The 80’s was a decade when action blockbusters became regular and very popular in mainstream cinema and VHS Tapes, and this was the inspiration for this illustration. These featured some of the typically ‘macho’ characters of the time – so it’s very tongue-in-cheek – much like the over-the-top action movies..see if you can recognise them all!

Retro Arcade Heroes

The early 80’s was the birth of Arcade Video Games. Popular characters and games were developed like Mario and Luigi, Sonic the Hedgehog and Donkey Kong; all introduced to entertain the arcade game-playing youth of the time. This design is a nostalgic tribute to those early years of Video Games in the 80’s and early 90’s – which were an antidote to another boring school day growing up!
